All Businesses who are into in Import and Export of Goods / Services must have an Import Export Code (IEC) Certificate. IEC is mandatory for Export from India or Import to India. Importer / Exporter Code (IEC) / Business Identification Number (BIN) is a 10 Character Alphanumeric Code (i.e PAN of Individual or Business) issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
Note:
It is mandatory to update existing IE Code between April to June in financial year. Any IE Code is not updated before the due date then it will be de-activated.
