Note: Additional Document might be required for GST Registration Approval :
- Shops & Establishment Registration (OR) Trade License
- Latest Property Tax Paid Receipt / Khata Certificate etc. (i.e Business Address)
- Notarised Commercial Rental Agreement with witness details and with their sign, address, mobile
- Owner NOC if required (i.e in case of sublease / sublet kind of agreement) AND
- any other document(s) as requested by GST Registration Reviewing Authorrity for GST Registration Approval
Important Note:
- Aadhar Linked Mobile and Email Address is must for Proprietor / Proprietrix / Authorized Partner / Authorized Director
- If Rented then Commercial Rental Agreement is Mandatory for GST Registration. For Own Office then Property Tax Paid Receipt or Sale Deed, Khata Certificate etc.,
- Business Address and Electricity Bill Address should match
- Owner who signs Rental Agreement and Owner Name in Electricity bill should match. If not matching then Original Owner of Business Address NOC might be required.
- Shared Office kind of rental agreements Physical Verification (PV) of business premises may happen due to this reason GST Registration approval process might be delayed.
- During Physical Verification (PV) concerned GST Registration Applicant i.e Proprietor / Proprietrix / Authorized Partner / Authorized Director / Authorised Person must be ready at Business Address with all original documents like PAN, Aadhar, Rental Agreement, Power Bill etc., and their existing business registration documents and any other documents required for GST Registration as required during PV Process.
- GST Officer who comes for PV will verify all the original documents and then business details as part of PV Process, and takes photos business premises and also concerned GST Applicant or Authorized Signatory Photo and then submit PV Report to GST Registration Approval Authority for final decision on i.e GST Registration Approval / Rejection.
GST Approval Timeline :
- Generally it will take up to 7 working days from the next day of GST ARN is generated i.e after successful Aadhar verification process. Note: Due to current pandemic situation sometimes GST Approval may be delayed by couple of days.
- If Tax Officer issues show cause notice seeking for further information, clarifications, documents then GST Approval process generally delayed by another 7 working days more for GST Approval i.e from the next day of Resubmission of GST Application by providing all the necessary information, clarifications, documents as requested in show cause notice.
- Note: GST Tax Office may reject GST Application by giving reason when the information, clarifications, documents provided in response to show cause notice are not satisfactory.
- Failed to response to show cause notice within the mentioned time-line i.e generally 7 working days then GST Application might be rejected.
